Peter Maffay

Singer, Composer and music producer. He started in 2000 the Peter Maffay Foundation “Shelter for disadvantaged children and young people”. For his community work in 1996 he received the Federal Cross of Merit, in 2006 the World Vision Charity Award and in 2011 the German Sustainability Award. He is the creator and co-inventor of “Tabaluga” and patron of the Tabaluga Foundation – Helping Children in Need.

Prof. Dr. Ibrahim Abouleish

A longstanding humanitarian advocate, Ute-Henriette Ohoven initially focused her activities on cancer research and treatment for children in her native Germany. Her 1992 designation as UNESCO Goodwill Ambassador further broadened and intensified her commitment.

Jakob von Uexküll

Swedish writer and lecturer. Founder of the Right Livelihood Award and the World Future Council.

Götz W. Werner

Founder, co-owner, and member of the advisory board of DM-drogerie markt, a large German drugstore chain. He was head of the company for 35 years. Since 2003 he has been the head of the Institute for Entrepreneurship
at the university of Karlsruhe, in south west Germany. In addition he is founder of the
initiative “Unternimm die Zukunft” – meaning “take on the future” – a project to raise
awareness about and to make feasible, the introduction of the basic income, also
known as the citizens’ income.
