The Voice of Children: “We Want a One World Family.”
3,000 children and youngsters from Baden-Wuerttemberg, Germany and the neighbouring province Alsace, France will join together on this date in the Europa Theme Park in Rust (bringing together Principal, Secondary and high school pupils, amongst the many others, including the Albertville-Junior high school in Winnenden).
There they will have a voice, a platform from which we will hear their appeal to the adults, the decision makers of society for a better world, in peace, and in harmony, with the wonders of diversity, free from racial, cultural and religious barriers, free from violence, free from hunger, and free from discrimination. They will present their ideas for this new world in various forms:
For example, singing the peace anthem "All the Children of the World", by Galileo, which will be conducted by Gotthilf Fischer. They will be accompanied by renowned artists such as Monrose, Galileo, Lucy (No Angels), Sternblutt, Lou Hoffner, etc.
3000 balloons carrying their ideas and wishes will be released and take their appeals to the “World”, so that they will be heard everywhere and provide the impetus for a new reality.
Gotthilf Fischer and his colleague Thomas Preiss, the Federal Youth Choir Director, will be binding together all the appeals of the children together in a colourful bouquet of “Choral Highlights”.
His life’s work will be embodied in the message “Let the World Sing (without fighting)”.
“Singing unites the young and old, black and white, builds bridges between people and nations”, is the foundation and cornerstone of ONE WORLD FAMILY and concerns, peace and harmony complementing diversity in this world.
The Europa Theme Park in Rust, provides the setting on 20.10.2010 for this very special event.
Following the official segment, the children and youngsters will have the opportunity to use the many free activities offered by the Park, while the participating artists and guests make themselves available at various stages within the Park grounds. Finally, they are all reunited again for a grand finale, singing again the peace anthem “All the Children in the World”.
"ONE WORLD FAMILY 20/10/2010" is a "Kick Off Event" which will provide the model and concept for future events in other priority areas of the world such as Sydney, Beijing, Bangalore, Cape Town, Buenos Aires and Washington, each with local children of all ethnic origins.
In these follow-up events there will be personalities of undisputed integrity from Science, Business, Politics and Religion such as Desmond Tutu, His Holiness Abbot Shi Yongxin of Shaolin Temple, His Holiness Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, Prof. Dr. Hans-Peter Dürr, Prof. Dr. Ibrahim Abouleish, Prof. Dr. Ervin Laszlo, just to name a few, answering the challenges and concerns of children and young people of this world.
