The first ONE WORLD FAMILY Days with a grand opening concert

From 12th - 14th September 2013, international personalities from science, economics, politics and religion will present answers to the requests and appeals for a better world. This is in response to the appeals from 3,000 children at our ONE WORLD FAMILY kick-off event which took place in the Europa-Park, Rust, Germany on 20/10/2010, where the children addressed the decision makers of this world.

Grand Opening Concert

To kick off the ONE WORLD FAMILY Days 2013 a great opening concert will take place, the venue being the Messe Stuttgart in Germany. The musical artists Xavier Naidoo, Nena and the OWF children's choir, consisting of more than 1000 children will perform live.

 

 

Xavier Naidoo & Quartett

Successful singer and songwriter. He was the inspiration for the "Aufwind Mannheim" initiative. This supports children from broken homes and children with emotional disorders.

 

Nena

Successful singer and founder of the “New School in Hamburg.” A school concept for enhancing individual talent. She received the 2008 Honor award of the “German Children’s Prize”.

 

 

One World Family Children´s Choir

The OWF children's choir, consisting of 1,000 children, will open the "One World Family Day" opening concert. Together with Freddy Sahin-Scholl aka "Galileo" they are the OWF peace anthem "All the children of the world" sing. The choir is composed of students of Eduard Spranger Gymnasums school in Filderstadt, the Merz school in Stuttgart and other children's choirs and is headed by former National Youth Choir director Thomas Preiss.

Prof. Dr. Ibrahim Abouleish

Founder and Chairman of Sekem, an initiative that includes profit and non-profit organizations and has set itself the goal of promoting the sustainable development of individuals, society and the environment. The Sekem Group of Companies is considered to be the Egyptian "organic pioneer". He was awarded the Alternative Nobel Prize in 2003.

Thomas W. Campbell

An American nuclear physicist who is engaged in the exploration of consciousness, the positive development of consciousness and the development and mechanics of reality. His academic experience as a physicist takes into account the latest perspectives of physics, and he developed over the last 30 years his "Big TOE" (Theory of Everything) in which he combines physics and metaphysics, which he eventually published in a book entitled the same. He lectures internationally giving workshops on this topic.

 

Krishnammal Jagannathan

Gandhi student and Indian women's rights activist. She founded in 1981 LAFTI (Land for Tillers Freedom) organization that fights for the rights of the "untouchables" caste. She has made more than 15,000 women achieve land ownership and has given them a livelihood. She was awarded the 2008 Right Livelihood Award.

He is the mayor of a municipality with 50 villages in a mountainous region in the Philippines. Based on organic farming, he has launched a rural development in transition, which is unique not only in the Philippines but worldwide. In 2012 he was awarded the One World Award from the World Federation of Organic Agriculture and Organic company Rapunzel for its performance.

Prof. Dr. Ervin Laszlo

Hungarian philosopher of science, systems theorist, and author. Co-founder of the Club of Rome, Founder and President of the Club of Budapest, President of the World Shift Network. Member of the International Academy of Science and the World Academy of Art and Science. Prof. Dr. Manfred Max-Neef

Chilean economist and creator of the "barefoot economics", which is based on basic needs, the local self-consciousness strengthens and on a small scale, sustainable development, "the human dimension" is. He received the 1983 Right Livelihood Award and the Chilean National Price for the Promotion and Defense of Human Rights.

Dr. Auma Obama

Kenyan German scholar, sociologist, journalist and author. She is the older half-sister of U.S. President Barack Obama. Founder of the Foundation "Sauti KUU - strong voices for the Strength of Youth". The Foundation is based on the principle of "self-help" and to motivate and support the future, to take their lives into their own hands young people around the world. She worked for nearly 5 years, the humanitarian organization CARE in the program "Sport for Social Change".

Elba Rivera

She grew up on a smallholders' farm in humid tropical SE Nicaragua and learned to read and write at 18. Elba and her German husband founded Nicaragua's organic agriculture. She studied political and educational sciences in Tübingen and is founder and director of "escuela montessori Jan Amos Comenius" in rural Nueva Guinea, and vice president of the Nicaraguan Forum of Education and Human Development. Education and ecological agriculture are her inseparable main activities in Nicaragua's civil society.

 

Sri Sri Ravi Shankar

The spiritual teacher and ambassador of peace was born in India and campaigns worldwide for many decades for a harmonious coexistence between people. In 1982 he founded the International Art of Living Foundation and the International Association for Human Values​​. Prof. Götz W. Werner

Sarah Wiener

Familientag

A unique event awaits children, teens and adults on Saturday, 14 September.

The family day will captivate all who want to be socially committed, a treasure trove of ideas and suggestions ready and waiting. Experts from around the world will present their projects and invite guests to join in. There will be a social worker with tips against bullying in school, and Shaolin monks offering a Kung Fu training for children. Practically, we have the construction of water turbines or windmills to or participatory cooking classes with healthy food. The Association of Wilhelma invites you to learn more about cashews, and the global initiative Plant for the planet that wants to plant a billion trees by 2020, shows how they train children to become ambassadors for climate justice. Children also report on the UNICEF as ambassadors of her commitment to them.
